AFHL:
Morgan Oomen (U13 AA Lakeland Panthers)
Morgan is an exceptional young individual whose kindness and dedication have made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Over the past several months, she has selflessly devoted her time and energy to assisting an elderly couple who live on a neighbouring farm. When one of them became ill during the Christmas season, Morgan stepped in without hesitation. Each morning, she rises early and, alongside her family, helps complete the farm chores the couple can no longer manage, ensuring their daily routine continues smoothly while the gentleman regains his strength. Her willingness to help extends far beyond her own home and family, reflecting a generosity of spirit that is truly inspiring.
In addition to her community service, Morgan plays an important role within her local Minor Hockey association as a linesman. Her commitment to the team is unwavering—she is consistently punctual and never misses a practice. Morgan is always willing to help her fellow players, whether it is offering encouragement, assisting with drills, or simply being there to listen. Her positive attitude and reliability make her a valued member of the team, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie and respect among her peers.
We are incredibly grateful to have such a remarkable young woman as part of our community and our hockey program. Morgan’s actions demonstrate maturity, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility. She is a shining example of what it means to serve others both on and off the ice, and her contributions continue to enrich the lives of those around her. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful things she will accomplish in the future.
