RED DEER – The Alberta Female Hockey League’s U18 AA division will crown a Provincial Champion this weekend as the tournament will be hosted by the Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs in Ponoka.
After completing a regular season and playoff schedule that began in October, five teams will battle it out to determine the 2021-22 Provincial Champion.
The U18 AA tournament is already underway at the Ponoka arena, with three games on the schedule for Thursday. The teams looking to win the Championship are Calgary Fire Red, Calgary Fire White, the Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs, the Sherwood Park Fury, and the St. Albert Sharks. The champion will be crowned on Sunday after the gold medal game that begins at 11:45am.
