Round 2 of the AFHL U18 AA Playoffs wrapped up with four competitive best-of-three series, as teams battled for the final spots at the 2026 Provincial Championships. When the dust settled, the PCFAC Storm, Lloydminster Steelers, Calgary Fire White, and Red Deer Chiefs earned their place at Provincials in Airdrie.
PCFAC Storm vs Edmonton Ice
The PCFAC Storm secured their Provincial berth with a two-game sweep over the Edmonton Ice. The Storm opened the series with a tight 3–2 win in Game 1 before delivering a dominant performance in Game 2, skating to a 5–0 victory to close out the series.
Lloydminster Steelers vs St. Albert Sharks
The Lloydminster Steelers pulled off one of the round’s biggest results, sweeping the St. Albert Sharks with back-to-back shutouts. Lloydminster edged Game 1 with a 1–0 overtime win before sealing the series with another 1–0 victory in Game 2 to complete the upset and advance.
Calgary Fire White vs Airdrie Lightning
The Calgary Fire White rallied after dropping Game 1 to the Airdrie Lightning 6–2. Fire White responded with a 4–3 win in Game 2 to even the series, then completed the comeback with a 3–2 overtime victory in Game 3 to punch their ticket to Provincials.
Red Deer Chiefs vs Rocky Mountain Raiders
The Red Deer Chiefs advanced after a hard fought three game series against the Rocky Mountain Raiders. The Chiefs opened with a 2–0 win in Game 1, dropped Game 2 by a 4–2 score, and then closed out the series with a 3–2 victory in the decisive Game 3.
With their series wins, the PCFAC Storm, Lloydminster Steelers, Calgary Fire White, and Red Deer Chiefs will all advance to the AFHL U18 AA Provincial Championships, set for March 26–29 in Airdrie.
