Chelsea Coates (U18 AA Airdrie Lightning)
Chelsea Coates has demonstrated an incredible commitment to giving back to the game throughout the season. Despite balancing the responsibilities of Grade 12, working, and competing at the U18 AA level, Chelsea has dedicated her spare time to coaching the U13 AA Airdrie Lightning. Her willingness to step up and support younger players highlights her passion for the sport and her desire to make a positive impact on the next generation of athletes.
Chelsea’s leadership and mentorship have made her a strong role model for the young players she coaches. Many of the U13 athletes attend U18 games to cheer on their mentor, inspired by the example she sets both on and off the ice. Her dedication to helping young players grow in confidence and skill reflects her character and commitment to her community. Chelsea’s efforts embody the true spirit of the AFHL Humanitarian of the Month recognition.
